Volunteering for the Walk

We can’t do this without you. Sign up to volunteer today!

The success of Walk MS is directly related to the wonderful volunteers who help make the event go off without a hitch. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills, see volunteer opportunities listed below. There is only one requirement: to want to do something about MS NOW. There are many jobs to choose from including registration and cheering at the finish line! To register to volunteer, please fill out the online registration form or call 1-800 FIGHT MS option 2.

Sign up today!
NOTE: You MUST Follow the Registration Links to Sign Up as a Volunteer.

Walk MS Committee is a vital part of the success of any Walk MS. For more information on ways you can be a part of the Walk MS committee, click here.

Event Set Up volunteers will help unpack event supplies and set up tents, tables and chairs before the walk (lifting involved).

Route Marking volunteers play a vital role in the Walk MS.  Route markers are provided with a detailed map of the route as well as Walk MS signage, arrows and necessary supplies. Route markers are asked to use these supplies (and their good judgment) to place signage used in directing our walkers along the route.

Parking volunteers will be scheduled in pairs to direct traffic in the parking areas. Specific instructions will be given so as to alert you to alternate parking areas, special vehicles, etc.

Greeters welcome walkers as they arrive, directing walkers to the registration area and answering any questions they may have.

Registration volunteers will check-in registered walkers, register walk-on participants and distribute Walk MS T-Shirts to qualified walkers.

Wall of Hope volunteers encourage MS Walkers to participate in Wall of Hope by filling out provided decorations with their reason for walking.

SAG Wagon Drivers have two primary job requirements: 1) To drop off and pick up Rest Stop(s) supplies and volunteers. 2) Pick up walkers along the route who need a lift to either the Rest Stop or Finish Line. SAG Drives must be 25 years of age and hold a valid drivers license.

Rest Stop volunteers will do everything from set up the rest stop area to distributing food and beverage to the walkers and cheering them on as they come in to the rest stop. We also ask that rest stop volunteers break down their area as the event comes to an end. We encourage volunteers to pick a theme and make each rest stop an energizing place!!

Finish Line volunteers assist with various tasks including cheering on walkers as they approach the finish, thanking them for walking and directing participants to the food/water areas.

Food Service volunteers will help set up the food service areas, and hand out food and beverages to the walkers before and after the walk.

Event Clean Up volunteers will help clean-up the site, pack supplies and reload trucks (lifting involved).

Entertainers If you have a special talent such as face painting, magic or if you are a clown or balloon artist and would like to donate your time to a truly worthy cause, please contact us!
